How about firing 53% of the incompetent idiots that get massive salaries and banishing them to Zimbabwe. I'm seriously considering moving to a first world country. Everything that happens in this country defies the logic of simple reasoning. The economic jewel of Africa is turning into the the A-hole of Africa and the politicians are trying to justify everything with eloquent words and to a fairly illiterate population everything they say, sounds right. Right!
 
This is ridiculous! Why should the consumer have to pay for government and Eskom bungling. We are in this mess becuase of people who did not do the jobs they were paid but not one has been fired.

Extra costs for demand side management! this is bull@%$#! If they had done their jobs in the first place their would not have to be any demand side management, there would have been plenty of electricity to go around.

There should be a commission of enquiry and those who are responsible for getting us into this mess should held accountable.
 
Yes please, I want to pay more to fund this disgraceful incompetence.

Eishkom should be offering a 53% reduction as an apology!
 
It is a con - they know that they cannot deliver, so they come up with a price that is going to be turned down, then when the wheels go they can blame lack of funding - looks like a long dark winter - and in the winter of our disconnects comes this...

i think they ask for 53 but know they will not get it. so in the end they will get 25 and we will say at least it is not 53. remember we must pay for the f-up they made.
 
Remember, the 53% is over and above the 14% odd they already got. Combined they are looking for 67%.

And they dont even provide Vaseline.

67%? your maths is off buddy, it's a 74.42% increase since before the original 14% increase.

(100 + 14% = 114
114 + 53% = 174.42)
 
yay getting screwed both ways! :sick:

now if they could (not that would/can) deliver a slight increased could be justified

If there was ever a Bungle The ANC can attest to and that is their stupidgeid when it came to Eskom.
This is going to cost our Economy 100's of Billions in the end and all we hear is sorry. Sorry. FFS!:mad:
I hear it at work all the time with staff. Sorry. Sorry.
One day I must forget to pay my staff and simply say I am sorry.

What concerns me even more is that Government cannot even listen to it's own Public Utility of which they are the Shareholder so how are they going to listen to anything or anyone for that matter on any other issue important to this country? They may be sitting in Parliament pretending to be working but are they listening!?
