Eskom was warned: union

Trade union Solidarity said that it has warned Eskom for years about the grave consequences of its serious skills shortage and for taking shortcuts during routine maintenance.

Don't know what "I-Told-You-So" will help now.

They did not listen before and neither will they in future.

They will be happy the day that there is no more power available in SA and everyone lives in small shacks burning wood for fire. And, by then, Zuma will send his tax team to come and take half our wood as tax payments....

If you have a suitable skillset then you can? Busy arranging something like atm

I have no real attachments, so should be fairly straight forward, did you get help from some agency, or do have a few steps to take?

My friends all say they would like an experience like that, but nobody want to take a risk. I mean, im not leaving SA for good, i just want to get some overseas work experience.

The longest ive been in europe was 4 months, and from that i know i dont want to leave permanently, i just need something new in my boring IT life!

RSA: Great Talk Nation.

Yeah, bunch of cowards! Have no bones in their bodies to stand up, start a civil war and kill or force this corrupt government out of this country!

Just like a bunch of old ladies who pissed themselves and now blaming the toilet from being too far!

If the people of South Africa had any integrity, the least they should have done today was to bring the CEO of Eskom, his wife and children and executed them all in public. And, that is the very least.

If you can get a company that side to sponsor you then it is indeed straight forward. Without a company backing you...zero chance.

EU based recruiters phoned me out of the blue. Thought it was a scam at first... Really smooth operation...very sector specific though so it won't help most people here.

Talking about integrity then saying that people must be killed. Are you going to miss Muvango?

If only his kids made better decisions regarding electricity supply and demand this would not have happened. Maybe his wife messed his coffee on the maintenance schedule?

I call BS. If you are young, healthy and prepared to do things by the book and forget the SA mentality of "I am special" it is easy to get into Australia. I met plenty South Africans during my 13 yeas there who got in this way. Yes being sponsored by a company is quicker but the normal way is totally possible.

Nothing to do with integrity, everything to do with numbers and brainwashing.
