Eskom load-shedding update — here is the timetable

Eskom has announced that it will implement Stage 2 load-shedding from 16:00 on Sunday, 4 June 2023, until 05:00 on Monday.

The power utility will then suspend rotational power cuts until 16:00, after which it will implement Stage 4 load-shedding.

Came through on the app from the Twitter feed yesterday. Seems there was a broken telephone between the feed and the press release.

Weird as it seems City Power didn't get the notice as they were publishing load shedding schedules right until 5am

At Witbank, some areas had their power cut by the municipality. The story The municipality went with was about a cable fault and that they do not have the proper equipment to fix it. At 6:30 PM more or less the arias went dark. At 6:25 AM today the power was restored. No evidence of fault finding was provided.

Based on the lack of evidence on the municipality's side. Is it safe to assume that their power was cut because they owe Eskom too much money and is trying to lighten their debt in this manner? You be the judge of that. But that said imagine having a power out when Eskom finally decided to provide power for the rest of the day.
