I've been keen to get one of these since they first came out at Woolies for nearly 3 grand. They're down to just over R1000 now. They also seem to have plenty of stock of the pods...

Anyone have one? Care to share a review?

Not sure on this brand.. I've seen them yes, but not sure on pods, on whether you could use other type of pods. But it's not a bad price, considering what it went for.

I was think of selling my Inissia for cheap, and buying this, as my Nespresso is old and functioning like a piece of crap now lol

Ya. I was keen to it at R3k. Even keener now.... Think the pods are like R100 odd for 16. The Woolies ones.

Yeh Good deal. I also had a look at 2k, but now at R1k it's not bad. Like I say, need to know if other pods are compatible, because you don't want to sit with a useless machine, if they no longer stock those pods.

That was always my concern. But they've had them for years now. Unless it's the same stock that no one is buying...

If it's that big a price drop, then nobody wants it lol

But I'll take one if they don't want it :D

Rather get a espresso machine and use freshly ground coffee that way you can benefit from the antioxidants in the coffee, it takes better and is cheaper. We have a Breville which is awesome but a friend bought a Platinum one cup machine from Checkers for R499 and it is essentially the same thing it just has to get filled up more often than ours. _20170625_134347.JPG

My bean to cup machine is in for repairs. I bought me the above Platinum machine from Checkers. Not the same as my bean to cup but better and cheaper than some of the pod machines I've tried.

Bean to cup is so devine because it's so fresh so the difference might be due to the freshness of the ground coffee you are getting, just a thought. We have Mastertons here in PE, they have been around for generations and they roast there own bean's that are ground fresh daily, love there coffee...yum.

I guess I like the idea of the pods because it's less faff. Less faff than making instant coffee even but better taste than instant...

Just keep in mind that the pods are not biodegradable or recyclable so a tiny bit of effort is worth it.

The machine still has to get cleaned so the only thing that is different is you have to scoop the coffee into the machine.

But the pods taste better.

How do you like your coffee? If you like a normal cup then I'd advise rather going for a bean to cup machine. If you like all the fancy pants flavours then the pod machine.
