GOGOGOGOGOGOGOGOGOOGOGOGOGOGOGOGOGOGOGOGO

The Fuuuuuu!!?
Dude, is that the SF1200 SATA2 ones?

Where do you see R1299? The email from Esquire says R1399 for the 128 V+100 and also R1399 for the 128 V100. The 96GB is R1599?? Strange

It's not particularly fast, but damn, that's cheap. I'm kinda tempted, I have to say.

That's a good price but as you said its rather slow!

For the average everyday windows user it will be fine though, obviously for work stuff that require high r/w it won't be ideal but for someone just wanting their pc to fly, perfect.

Yea i don't have time to investigate why the 96 is more expensive, perhaps the newer generation maybe someone could do some digging :p

I'd PM them they often have errors in the mailers, which are corrected later!
Might be that the 128 V+100 is R1599 and the 96 V+100 R1399 and 128 V100 R1399 (ex Vat)

P.S.- Think about getting that Lenovo Tower i7 2600 with Win 7 pro 4GB of ram and a 1TB for R5499 ex Vat seems like a bargain to me

Kingston V series is the slowest SSD on the market followed VERY closesly by the V100. So the price is IMHO still very high considering what you get.

V+100 is better, but once again, consider the purchase price!

This is like saving to buy a Core 2 Duo when you could buy a Core i7 by just spending that R400 extra. It isn't like you buy an SSD every day.

Dude even the slowest ssd whips a mechanical drive and remember as mentioned it is only slow due to the R/W the seek/access time will be pretty much inline with the other drives so for an average user it will be perfect.

That drive absolutely floors the velociraptor which is arguably the fastest mechanical drive on the market.

I agree 100% with that statement.

I'm just saying, shell out the extra R400 and buy a better SSD! A much improved SSD.

I agree, this special makes for a great and relatively cheap upgrade for someone who's sitting with a Core2Duo notebook and wants to give it some new life.
