Esquire 9800gx2

Your TV syncs at 15.625kHz for all input signals while the analog RGB (essentially VGA) on the DVI-I (pins c1-c5) provides sync at 31.5kHz+ so you will need a electronic box to do the conversion for you.

Like the manhattan pc to tv converter? Any other suggestions of suitable products?

a 9800GX2 does not pawn a GTX 260 in gaming as the GX2 is EOL! i had an XFX 9800GX2 Black Edition..ran way too HOT (90'C under 3d Mark '06) the GTX 260 is newer, has Physx..imo is the better card to go for!

Yes.

When you say your TV has RGB can you elaborate please or give me the make & model?

By rgb i mean the yellow red and white inputs on the tv. Its a Toshiba but i cant remember the model...will have a look and post when i get home.

Erm, did you read the Tomshardware links?

9800Gx2 > 260 at a resolution of 1920 * 1200 or less. The only cons being the heat really, it has slightly higher power comp as well.

i personally had both cards..imo..in gaming the GTX260..is better..CUDA technology!:D

Strange my card does not run at 90 degrees obviously if you have a box with poor airflow you cannot expect to run cool.

Just because a card is newer does not mean its better, the 260 is middle range and the 9800gx2 when it was released was top of the range, for 1999 buying a 260 would be stupid IMO.

Cuda has nothing to do with games. the 9800gx2 has physx, i think zyma is smoking crack today.

Killa :D How you doing?

I might even consider buying one at that price, I am using the 98GTX+ and while there is nothing wrong, that card is dirt cheap. It does run hot, I used to sell them and even in some large chasis with decent fans ran around 70 - 80 degrees.

Not to bad and yourself :D

Yea for sure but you cannot expect a card to run at 60 degrees :p

It also depends on the time of year and what not, i mean if a pc sits in a room that is 30 degrees of course it will run hot, right now my 9800gx2 is running 52 degrees because the weather is cool.

i have a HAF 932 budi..which has a 230mm fan blowing directly onto the GPU..the Mushkin GTX 260 is cheap..

Ziym btw the 9800gx2 has CUDA link is here

and it has physx quote from nvidia site 'Which NVIDIA GeForce GPUs support PhysX?
GeForce 8 series GPUs and higher all support PhysX."

Well i also have the hsf and i have 3 fans but anyhow, these fans are a bit under powered anyways if you ask me.

On a very hot day my box climbs to like 39 degree during winter my box is 25 degrees, so it makes logical sense the hotter your box the hotter the card.

Well then buy the cheaper less performing card :), how much cheaper is it? Yes the 9800gx2 has cuda and physics, how is the 260 better in your eyes? It's slower in games so i fail to see how it is better :p

ok i had both the GTX 260 runs smoother.."IMO" i have the haf with all the fans..already replaced the slow 230mm side fan with 4x120mm..getting a WC setup soon so it will be even cooler soon..but now i have the GTX 285 Black edition..which is great no matter what i throw at it!

Either way went and got myself one today :D Will sit tom night and install it and then play around a bit...There were only 3 left when I got there today though. Can't wait to go fiddle! Aaarrgh!.

EDIT: And DAMN its big:eek:
