I have been purchasing from Esquire since they started off in a small house office in Centurion bout 8 or 9 yrs ago , I 4get now while I was still studying in Joburg it was because of them that I managed to pay for my studies, & it was Jenny Nell that opened the account 4 me even though I was still in my early 20’s and no company documents, but by purchasing from Esquire I could sell stuff to my friends, family & even 2 guys at tech an pay off my student loan and my parents , 2day I live in Cape Town and still buy from them , have my own registered company as i contract out and buy and sell stuff in my spare time , even my younger bro whose still studying in Jhb buys from them and doing the same , I know thay not the cheapest but I will always appreciated what Jenny and esquire did for me back then initially rectron , sahara, mustek, pinnacle micro none of them wanted to supply me cause i was not registered but now i buy from all them including esquire,this forum has lots of lighties like my brother that want to get into business but never given a chance,when my brother finishes his studies and when we can get our hands on some spare cash which is taking 4ever, we intend to start up a Online store 2gether from Joburg and Cape Town.

90% of the people of Mybb are way to knowledgeable about the PC market to get ripped a new one by chaps like you, so if Esquire didn't offer us these prices we will just ask a friend of a friend who has an account with them or rectron or sahara or or or....get the picture? We are not dumb end users who will hop into any old IC and get raped by their insane prices. We always shop for the best prices and considering Esquire offer EXCEPTIONAL prices means we will buy from them regardless. Stop being so sour. :rolleyes:

How can a supplier selling to other businesses as well as those business's customers be competition?

Not that I mind but he obviously has a point. Would it be legal for Esquire to just go all out and sell to the public? They might as well then.
 
Technically they aren't. The members on MYBB are just privy to the specials, Its not like Esquire are advertising this all over.......... MYBB members are being given "supplier status" Thats it.

To answer your question , please read the extract of my comments from a previous thread regarding what motivated us to open up the channel to Mybb members ,

I have on many occasions said that members of MyBB are extremely knowledgeable when it comes to hardware and do not require the support as an ordinary end user, in fact even our technicians use the MyBB as a reference if they came across a difficult issue to resolve with our business model to support SME market segment it is in our advantage to get those members to start purchasing from us and also become potential Small enterprises and eventually becoming potential Medium and large enterprises going forward.

Also it must be noted that we do not ever advertise our company or products on any print or any online media publication as this will attract a flood of End users trying to purchase from us which is something we are not geared to handle as we do not have the manpower or the infrastructure.

The only time you will ever see Esquire mention in a print media or online media is when we do product reviews and product launches.

Our goal is to reach 500 new SMALL ENTERPISES and once we reach this goal, we will revert back to our normal trading conditions.
 
Great - the guy says the MYB001 account has been closed. (Midrand)

apparently its been closed for the past 2 months????

I've never had any unexpected problems with the PE branch. Stock shortages and missing out on specials is not always the supplier's fault.
