Hi,

I haven't bought from esquire for a while and when I tried to login yesterday, I was told I don't have an account so I have had to re-register.

While I wait can someone please send me a link or something to the latest specials with the prices? I am specifically looking for prices on monitors (27") and basic laptops (used for browsing, email, excel and PDF).

If someone could let me know that would be great.

I have an account to buy but I don't get the specials anymore for ages now. if anyone has a link to register for the email please let me know.

Would that Asus X553MA be good enough for basic browsing, emails, excel, word and pdf? The price seems great if it will do the job? Will add an extra 2GB RAM aswell.

It is just one option. Just consider whether you need full laptop 4GB RAM, optical drive, 500GB HDD.
Other option is to get tablet/hybrid with full Windows 8.1 (not SL). You can't add RAM, but you can add external keyboard/mouse and work as with PC. Screen resolution is much better and you can move it around without fear of destroying hard drive. For what you describe, it is just perfect.

Or similiar one from Esquire, but lower specs.
BTW, Celeron dual core will be probably little bit faster than Atom quad core.

Thanks for that.

It will be used in the office for a new person starting so it will be connected to a second screen so not too worried about resolution and a full laptop is required especially for word and excel documents.
