Cool.

Does anyone know the capabilities of this card?

I have a desktop PC in the young one's room. It is not extremely high spec but has an entry level Core2Duo processor, not the biggest hard drive, 2Gb of RAM and an Ati HD 4670 graphics card.

Will this card allows us to watch DSTV on that computer? What is the difference between the analog and digital ones I have seen? What else will be required? Do I just run a cable from the decoder to this TV tuner card? What will be needed to watch different channels on the computer and the TV? What else do I need to keep in mind?

Thanks guys

And do you have to bring in a ridiculous TV license to buy one?

Had a double take at the 32.7 Ghz processor (Cape Town). :)

Then noticed the AM on the line above. Damn wrapping. :D

Guys, I don't want to feel like I'm bashing Esquire, but I've been chatting to Adriaan (CPT) branch for about a week now, calling him now and again checking on prices of certain items and I've noticed that the prices on the CPT price list (specifically the LCD's and HDD's that they having) are not special prices, they are the prices that have been running for almost 2 weeks now.

As the saying goes, just because they say it's a special price, doesn't mean it is a special price.

PS: I don't check the Esquire price list because whenever I check it and then I call in, the prices are different, so now I just call in and confirm prices.

A special price to me is one which is better than anywhere else I can get the product ;)

I have to admit to doing some phoning around for a 1Tb external drive for a colleague yesteay and finding it substantially cheaper elsewhere. But this is obviously going to happen on the odd occasion.

No, it does ya... the day I bought like 5x 500GB's, I found the monday, I could've gotten it from Sahara for R20 cheaper.

It happens, you just have to keep watching everyone else and not just jump the gun whenever you see "SPECIALS" or "CRAZY" in big font! :D

edit nevmind keep forgetting these are ex vat prices

Yeah, many people forget that, go there, see the full INCL VAT price but end up taking it anyways because they 'came all the way'

I heard that when I was in the queue the other day.

"Honey, just take it man, we came all this way"

They obviously didn't know that Esquire is a supplier and not a retailer (as with many others it seems). ;) :D
