Esset firewall blocks my internet connection

I have a DSL 2500 modem, a Buffalo wireless router and Esset smart security on my windows 7 pc.

If I connect direct to the modem everything works 100%, but as soon as I connect via the router ESS blocks all incoming traffic.

I checked the advanced settings in ESS firewall, but can't find what its blocking. If I turn off the firewall everything works again.

Any ideas what ESS is blocking?

i had the same problem with Symantec Endpoint, mine would actually word a few minutes and them DC, at the end i removed it

Yes, mine also sometimes works for a few minutes and then blocks everything again.

Uninstall Eset and install Microsoft Security Essentials.

MSE is avail from MS & is free PERMITTING you OWN legal windows...

you could use the windows firewall & eset antivirus

It asks you during the install if you want to be part of the customer improvement program. You can choose no.

The Windows 7 firewall is more than adequate.
MSE turns it on by default if it is off.
