when it comes to sensible power for industrial usage then we are talking about Gigawatts.

I an waiting for all of these guys to show me which batter solution is going to power lonmin, the South Deep Mine, Tokyo city, Cement Manufacturing, Steel Mills, etc?

China is adding 700 more Coal Power Plants to the belt in road initiative, do you think that they give a crap about what the example the EU leads?

By the end of this century 1/3 of the world’s population will be in Africa.
Are black people not going to want to develop using their own resources because Greta Thurnberg preaches to them?

The most sensible solution to all of this is to try and accept some warming of the planet and to try and use the C02 in the air to replenish the topsoil.

Most of the massive solar farms that use massive amounts of land are only in the MW, the largest solar plants use square kilometers of land to generate, I mean Tengger Desert Solar park generates 1.5Gw of power and it requires 43 square kilometers of land.
While Koeberg for example generates 1.8Gw and with the nature reserve around it is only 22square kilometers.

and no one talks about the environmental degradation due to installing so much solar panels on the land.

Also keep in mind that hydrogen is only efficiently derived from natural gas and that begs the question why not just use natural gas?

Nope because it's green, no one talks about the massive amounts of rare earth metals required. No one talks about the massive damage wind turbines cause as well, cause it's green.
SA alone uses 30Gw every day, that's what is required, in order for that to be done by green means we would require vast tracts of land unusable at all for anything else and we'd need massive amounts of peaking plants to get us through the nights, as even at night we drop to 22Gw

SA just discovered more natural gas and Mozambique as a ton of it if we can get ISIS away,

Why is going to tell them not to use it?

It will be a long while (5 years I would guess), the company that I work for has been tendering on some aspects of the project.

The Mozambique project has been delayed due to terrorism.

Conversion of OCTGs to natural gas can be made, also conversion of conventional power stations to it can be done as well. Ankerling in CPT can be converted and I know they were looking at converting Camden I think it was.

When I lived in Bramley Jhb in the 90's there was municipal gas coming into the house. We ran all the heaters off this. It was cheap as chips. When are other municipalities going to include this resource?

I know some parts of Johannesburg still get gas from Egoli gas. Would be great to run water heaters and such off that, but you know this is SA. Orange is what is covered by the only Piped gas in Johannesburg

I won't be surprised if many of those pipelines have lots of leakage.
