Hello

I saw this adsl modem at a very good price, just I've never heard of it.

It's rather tiny, single ethernet port, doesn't come with a POTS filter.

Usually when it sounds too good, it usually is. I'd hate to buy something that cannot function properly and gives trouble, no matter how cheap it is.

What are it's functions and capabilities and has anyone had any experiences with it? Can it work as a pure adsl modem or implement a firewall?

Thanks

What is a good price? It just looks like a standard cheap no name ADSL router - might be ok, doubt anything special.

Update: This little modem has run with no trouble so far, powered on constantly with minimal downtime. Survived a few power surges due to electric cable theft. Hasn't missed a beat.

It's a bother to keep swopping the Ethernet cables between pc's though, so I got a cheap 8-port hub (non wireless) for multiple links (~R60). I don't need wireless yet.

I got a Wireless SMC modem/router for R300. Syncs at a higher speed than my previous Netgear! Though it's only 1-port and Wireless b/g.

That's a very good price for a wireless modem/router. Do you know what chipset is being used (you can sometimes find this information on the router status menu)? Do you see any reference to Broadcom, Trendchip, Conexant etc.?
