There is no peace without war!!!

Eve Online does not need much bandwidth anyways. Just the logging in that caches and when u switch from one sector to another

well now that i know the sentech thing sucks and everything else also. oh well

well also it doesnt seem that bellville will ever be included in their coverage map.
im starting to look rather at other solutions like datapro it might be more expensive but will probably suit my needs better in the long run

not really for gaming but pretty cheap 24/7 wireless connection.

Unfortunately there isnt a product that suits all my tastes. id like uncapped, fast with little or no port shaping.
easy in the rest of the world almost impossible here.

South African Eve Online

I started playing eve online about 3 months ago and started my own corp which has grown to 50 or so members. Unfortunately I am the only South African in the corp and would love to see more.

We're an easy going corp perfect for part-time players and rookies. If you want to give us a try, message me in game my character's name is "Val Vherosan" and my corp's name is VR Corp

WARP WARP WARP WARP MINE WARP WARP DEAD aaarg WARP WARP WARP WARP MINE WARP WARP DEAD aaarg

Silly game.

/pat the learning curve is rather steep

I started 2 weeks ago (trial ended last night), and proceeded to upgrade to a full subscription.

@parks_za join RSACHAT1 ingame ;)

wow, looking back at this thread four years later, I see a lot more enthusiastic me eager to be the leetest mofo on the block :P
wow...

So i've played eve now on
dsl 384, 512, 4mb
wifi 128kbs uncapped with no p2p :P
Wisp 512kb/s
neotel 2.4mbs...
gprs, 3g

One of the few games out there that works on almost any connection you have albeit a bit slow.

Still brilliant game, Learning curve is harsh but well worth it in the long run :)

New expansions coming out going to make the game alot more interesting I think and might just tempt me back from year old hiatus.

Just over a gig for the premium client (shiny gfx version)

I've been playing EVE Online for about 5 months now..no problems at all on my 3G connection and it uses like only +/- 10 to 15 megs a night (that's if you don't use EVE Voice etc).

I found the game to have no instant gratification, but the longer I played the more addicted I got :) and ja now I’m hooked. Definitely worth the +/- R150 I pay monthly!

The Corporation I belong to is “Pax Britannia” and our Alliance is “Rally Against Evil” . We are about 100+ members in our Corporation which include bout 5 South Africans.

Eve Online is really worth a try!!
