Evolution mail and Exchange 2007

I can't get Evolution mail to work with Exchange 2007. I get "The Exchange server is not compatible with Exchange Connector". Apparently only 2000 and 2003 are supported. Any tips?

Why can't I connect to Exchange?

First of all, make sure the package "Evolution Exchange" is installed beside Evolution. Make sure the "Exchange plugin" is enabled under "Edit | Plugins". Also, Evolution Exchange only supports Microsoft Exchange 2000/2003 with OWA (Outlook Web Access) turned on (for WebDAV access). If you would like to connect to an Exchange 5.5, 2000, 2003 or 2007 server via MAPI (as would Outlook), get the Evolution Brutus Plugin at http://www.omesc.com/node/22. Evolution Brutus supports complete access to your Exchange mail, calendar and tasks. If this still does not work, make sure you use "domain\user" and not "domain/user" in the "Evolution Account Editor > Windows Username".

Does this help? Seems to use a different plugin for 2007.

Ok I have downloaded that, now how do I install it? I would have loved something like a SETUP file but this is Linux...any help appreciated.

Is it the .deb file? Which file did you downloads? Also have you done:

sudo apt-get install evolution-plugins

If you have the .deb package, you can install it with the command:

sudo dpkg -i /where/the/file/is/filename.deb

Doesn't work. The Evolution plug-ins are already the newest version...looks like I'm going to have to wait.
