Ex-Bok sorry for 'coconut' term

Read above.. he was actually using the correct term.

Seems he's not as stupid as you think.

Actually, I did read the whole thread. The term itself, is very much open to interpretation and the context of that interpretation very much subject to culture.

And did he himself not admit that didn't know the meaning of the word?

Fawlty says -

I knew one once.
Striking looking girl, tall, you know.
Father was a banker.
Really?
Don't remember the name of the bank.
Never mind.
I must have been keen on her
because I took her
to see India!
India?

At the Oval!
Fine match. A marvelous finish.
Now, Surrey had to get 33 in half an hour,
and she went off to powder her...
Her hands or something.
Women... never came back.
What a shame.
The strange thing was that throughout the morning,
she kept referring to the Indians as "n*****s".
No, no, I said.

n*****s are the West Indians,
these people are Wogs!
No, no, she said,
all cricketers are n*****s.
They do get awfully confused.
They're not thinkers. I see it with Sybil every day.
I wish I could remember her name,
she's still got my wallet.

Really, people need to get over themselves.

If I went back to the army they probably wouldn't even be allowed to call me a soutpiel anymore.

Well it was a stupid tackle and he deserves to be called something.

And did he himself not admit that didn't know the meaning of the word?

He didn't so much admit that he didn't knew the term.

He was rather convinced that he didn't know the term. Big difference.

shame, they must have big chips on their shoulders.

Notice that my post was a question, not a statement; being a teacher, you should know the difference.

I saw that. My post wasn't an accusation. It was a general statement that he was rather convinced.
