My first post here, so hopefully its in the right section. Sorry if its a bit long.

So earlier this year I was helping my girlfriend with here tax submission. I realized that she had 2 IRP's when logging into here efiling profile. The one IRP5 was the correct one with all the information as it should. This is the IRP from the company she is currently employed with. The second IRP is from here old employer. But she hasn't been employed with them for over 3 years. According to the second IRP she worked for 2 months in February and March 2016 with her old employer and received R14000, which did not happen.

So she never received that money because she didn't work there. The problem is these extra 2 months salary on the IRP5 on top of here current salary makes a huge different in the tax she should be paying SARS. The R14000 alone is R300 tax but on top of her current salary its R3000 according to SARS she owns them

We have been in contact with her old employer multiple times and he said they have updated it. Which is not the case because it is still not reflecting after 3 weeks.

An friend of her, who is also an ex employee have the exact same issue. What other options do we have if her old employer refuses to upload the correct IRP5 data?

Is this fraud, someone else could be getting this money and the company is only paying R300 tax on that amount?

Thanks. And sorry again for the long post!

Contact the old employer one last time and inform them you're going to contact SARS and inform them that the old employer is committing tax fraud.
From a friend of mine that had a similar situation a few years ago, this got the old employer going to actually rectify the problem.

Okay, will give them one last call. Hopefully they sort this out before the end of the week. Otherwise I guess a call to SARS is in order. Thx

When I was helping someone with their tax and we had to get their employer to update their irp5 information after we had created the assessment (You can only view the IRP5 data once the assessment is created). I thought the company were not updating it but I did not realize that if you have generated your assessment already the IRP5 data does not update automatically there was a button to refresh the IRP5 data.

If you have already pressed this button ignore the above but I never saw it until specifically told about it.
