Excellent news

Under the circumstances, I challenge you to provide a better solution.

A better judicial system would be first prize. But as current circumstances stand, there probably isn't a better option than fighting fire with fire.

Do unto others before they do unto you.
The other version is only suited for dealing with civilised people.

So early in the morning and it starts of great

Pretoria - A bank robber was killed when an off-duty metro policewoman opened fire on men trying to rob the First National Bank in Pretoria North on Thursday.

I feel like opening a bottle of bubbly

For long time we only read about innocent ppl being killed, but looks like times are slowly changing. More and more we hear about the criminals being killed.

Rejoice ppl rejoice.

Or maybe that's just the way the media works... scare you witless with constant negative articles and then slowly increase the amount of positive ones.

Anything to make a few extra bucks off of us suckers!

Maybe so but this is a more permanent solution. At least we know they won't escape, be paroled or let out to celebrate someone's birthday.

Now the death sentence would add to that some time to think about their actions before being executed... more scary to those anticipating doing extremely selfish.

The worlds pretty ****ed up when folks rejoice in the killing of human beings regardless of their occupation

killing and robbing is an occupation now? well done you intellectually ignorant prick.

shoot and kill versus get shot and killed... gee difficult choice.

ATM 'bombers' die in shoot-out
11/07/2007 10:52 - (SA)

Pietermaritzburg - Two of the men injured in a shoot-out with the police after an ATM was blasted in Pietermaritzburg on Wednesday morning died shortly afterwards, police said.

Police spokesperson Superintendent Henry Budhram said the other man was in a stable condition in hospital.

The three men were injured when they shot at the police after an ATM was blasted at the Zimbela shopping complex.

Police were waiting at the complex after receiving information that an ATM would be blown up in the early hours of Wednesday.

At about 02:30 they saw three men at the ATM and moments later there was an explosion.

Police rushed to the scene, but the three opened fire on them.

The police returned fire and two of the men were seriously injured, while a third was slightly injured.

A fourth person, believed to be an accomplice, was also wounded in the exchange of fire after joining the shoot-out.

He fled but his presence on the scene was established after he contacted one of his accomplices on his mobile phone at the scene and confirmed his injuries.

There was no money removed from the ATM but it was extensively damaged by the commercial explosives used.

Police confiscated an R5 rifle, two handguns and several live and expended cartridges.

The men had used a car which was hijacked in the Pinetown area

Don't hold your breath with all this good news. With the new "child" legislation coming in, 18-year olds will be legally able to get guns. They are bad enough with Opel Kadettes! God save us! The thought of all these juvenile delinquents runnning around our streets, pubs, and restaurants packing six-shooters is just a bit too much. Wild West? you ain't seen nothing yet.

As oppossed to the millions of criminals with ILLEGAL guns?

It is better if the masses who are in general good people carry guns, than having a society where only criminals with bad intentions carry guns.

I want a gun to shoot back, instead of running and getting shot in the back.
