Hi

Just want to know if iBust will be able to give us a list of sites visited - because we have the one client who just gobbles up bandwidth like there's no tomorrow.

Regards

Libs

I assume he paid for his bandwidth?

If yes, what's the deal then?

If he's capped, he's capped, surely and downloading at 64kbps 24/7 can't be such a huge drain on the network, it's just over dialup speed and ISP's didn't moan when ppl
did that 10 years ago on dialup and callmore over weekends/after 7pm.

Yes, he paid for his bandwidth, but want to know why it's being used up so fast.

A while ago I moaned about the work not wanting to put in a proper firewall (smoothwall etc) in at these clients - now it seems that the chickens have come home to roost :D

Ok, but these iburst accounts s'posed to be unhackable. Unless someone's got hold of ur client's username and password.

If I wanted to, I could give you my itBust user/pass but they would be utterly useless to you without the UTID of the device(s) it has registered against them ..and I ain't about to hand those over! So, not so much unhackable as largely irrelevant.

After losing WAY too many gigs one month I stalked (the moer in, 'cos we had lost bandwidth) around the office switching Windows Update off on 3 machines - look there for a possible culprit.

Hi Libs. I know this does not answer your question but how about installing the 30 day trial of Netlimiter on all the clients machines. Turn on usage logging and see what is happening.

Netlimiter runs as a service and you can monitor that service remotely (if set up to allow that) so no need to babysit the client machine. Just see what thread is using the bandwidth.

I don't mean to sound rude... but how is that any of your business.
most likely the client is bitching about mia bandwidth...

well I had 4gigs bw on the 8th July... and 9th it said I was capped... and my pc wasn't even on that day :(
