Hi Guys,

Need a bit of help with exchange server 2007, new setup, can send mails fine but wont download them... any guru's out there able to give me a few pointers.

Jebus. I haven't looked at 2007 since it betaed. Have you created the incoming connector. It's not called that but you probably know what I mean. :o

I have tried everything, anyone out there have a successful exchange 2007 setup?

I have done a few setups of 2007. Have you installed all the roles on one Server? On your hub transport server, check that you have it setup to receive mail for you domain on the receive connector. Exchange 2007 also does not eccept anonymous email by default

Thanks Vangend, I did set it up to receive email from anonymous domains using the * as the domain.
when you say installed all the roles on one server what do mean?
any help would be greatly appreciated... i am about to pull out my hair.

Check at Organization Configuration -> Hub Transport select Accepted Domains put in your domain abc.co.za there. Do you have a separate server that is setup as an Edge transport server ?
Is your MX records correct?

I don't have a separate server setup as a edge server. is it necessary?
I must check the MX records again.

Thanks for the tips! really appreciate it!

If the MX records point to your Exchange box, then some config steps should be all it needs to accept incoming mail.

If it's not, you using dynamic ip adsl/iBurst etc, you can use a POP3 downloading tool to pull mail from the ISP and push it into Exchange.

thanks Asha'man X, What POP3 downloading tool would one use?

The edge server is not needed, just checking. If you had one there is just one or two extra things to check.

Thanks Vangend, will only be at the server again tomorrow. so will check the mx records again then.
the help is much appreciated!
