Exodus Help

Hi guys,

I need some help with exodus. Been using if for a while with no issues. I have it setup on my laptop which is hooked up to my TV, primary viewing device and also on my android phone.

This weekend, i find i cannot find many HD streams on the laptop. I look for the same movie on the the android phone, and i find tons of HD streams.

I have re-installed exodus, cleared the cache, cleared the providers. All with no succcess.

Really frustrating to see different results on different devices.

It seems like there's a slightly different version between your phone and your PC.

I had the same problem this weekend I think the update to 3.1.3 had some bug in it (very frustrating) & I'm using an android box I see they have released 3.1.4 can only check when I get home

Is anyone else also suddenly experiencing continuous buffering issues?

I have been using Exodus for several months now and in the last 2 weeks I have found it to be increasingly crap.
I get loads of streams listed but when selecting one it seems to got through at least 10-20 every time before actually starting one. Then once one starts the buffering is terrible, on average every 20-30 seconds.

Also these API registering messages, what is this all about?
 
From my android box, I get buffering + no sources most of the time on Exodus and Salts since 1/2 months.

From the computer it works perfectly.
 
Yeah, apparently Exodus has gone fubar in the last week. Apparently biggest issue is that the stream providers have switched to ssl and versions below Kodi 17 can't handle that. Except other plugins like zen seem to work just fine, so I'm skeptical.

Heard that Spekto (an Exodus fork) works quite well.

I run Exodus on an android box, phone and windows computer(sometimes) my issues are on both the android devices. I will try on my laptop this evening and see if there is any difference.

Also going to try Spekto and Zen. I do not get reliable SALTS results.

Thanks for the feedback, I was wondering if it was an ISP shaping issue as everything else seems fine, just the Exodus streaming is awful. It really looks like a crappy source problem and is very bad with newly released episodes.

Will provide feedback once I have tried all the above. Any additional suggestions welcome.

After quite a bit of streaming I have come to the conclusion that you need to use both Exodus and Spekto.
Zen and Salt if you are very desperate.

I have switched to Specto because it gives a lot better HD results in general. However I do see that it often suffers from similar issues to Exodus. The good news is that Exodus and Specto do not necessarily have issues at the same time, so if one is serving up bad links try the other.

Tonight I am setting up a windows laptop. I will give an opinion on windows Laptop vs Android box/phone in about a weeks time.
 
I updated to Kodi 17 last night.

make sure you get the new Kodi from the Kodi site not from the TVaddons site.

after that, my Exodus is working propperly.

I still need to find a good addon for sport with at least 720p quality. Installed ZEM on saturday and yesterday most of the stream/channels for sport disappeared
 
From what i understand most streams are moving to HTTPs, so bear in mind that Kodi 16.1 does not support this without additional addons/fixes.
