Just look forward to the next 10 months.Lately up here in GP, 3 days as currently we've had a few days of heavy cloud cover where generation is sometimes down to 10%

It's been CPT weather here recently, very annoying.Lately up here in GP, 3 days as currently we've had a few days of heavy cloud cover where generation is sometimes down to 10%
Nope, I live in an area that has faults at least once a week for a couple of hours to days, thanks to them adding 2 suburbs on to our substation, until they fix the overhead lines. Are you not trying to save leccy?
How much genie do you use?i currently have 3 x 4.8kwh batteries.
Well until Nov/Dec again when it starts to drop. People tend to not realise that JHB actually gets more rain than London.Just look forward to the next 10 months.
You can do 2 things at once.Nope, I live in an area that has faults at least once a week for a couple of hours to days, thanks to them adding 2 suburbs on to our substation, until they fix the overhead lines.
Those suburbs have no regards of usage...
Yeah but this is generally normal for CPT, you're going into winter. JHB is normally dark and cloudy between Nov through to Mar, not this far into April :-(It's been CPT weather here recently, very annoying.
You’ll have more battery by then.Well until Nov/Dec again when it starts to drop. People tend to not realise that JHB actually gets more rain than London.
Yes I do try save eleccyYou can do 2 things at once.
How so?You’ll have more battery by then.
Connect geyser, get more batteries and change 6.5kW to 3kW silent.Yes I do try save eleccythough this month I'm probably sitting at 70 to 100 units more than I normally pull from CP.
I would need to replace my batteries completely, they don't bring mine into the country, unless I approach Telecos and get them from there.Connect geyser, get more batteries and change 6.5kW to 3kW silent.
Forget about smart inverter connection. Just use voltage and busbar.I would need to replace my batteries completely, they don't bring mine into the country, unless I approach Telecos and get them from there.

Oh I've had days where I've had 1.5 generated from the sun for the whole day :-( the clouds were thick like freaking dark dark, no sun at all.Its rare to get absolutely nothing over the entire day so if you scrape together a few kWh here and a few there you should be able to make it through 3 days.
lets say you average 10kwh per day of use then if you have 20 kWh of usable backup plus the PV managed 3kwh per day you essentially cover 3 days.
How many days a year is this?Oh I've had days where I've had 1.5 generated from the sun for the whole day :-( the clouds were thick like freaking dark dark, no sun at all.
Twice in April so far.How many days a year is this?
None, Currently do not own a gennieHow much genie do you use?
If I was Elon rich I would buy a house in CoCT just so that I can go to court and take them to the cleaners.CoCT wrote to a gent in Constantia to say they deemed that his solar installation (12 panels, 7.2Kw inverter, 10 kWh battery) did not meet their requirements. He had a COC issued by a licensed electrician
In Nov 2023 CoCT threatened to cut his supply unless he did not comply (without giving specific reasons)
He has no intention of making any alterations as all the pre- October specifications have been met
