As far as I know they can be hidden from view if the section of road has the camera trapping signs up (the driver is aware he/she is entering a trapping section) but the traps have to be at least 300m after the sign to allow for sufficient braking

Ok please someone explain this to me because im not sure , I have two infringements dated back in January 2013 , i have not recieved courtesy letters or anything for them but if i log onto the aarto site i can still see the two infringements linked to my ID number, i have surpassed the dates of paying the discounted rate, aswell as the court date , am i in trouble?

The laser traps? You'll be lucky to actually SEE a metro/traffic cop actually sitting at the device and not sleeping in the cab.

I see I got one on Monday listed on AARTO site already - has to be a mobile camera in Johannesburg - on Louis Botha avenue, near Atholl road, Waverly. Are mobile camera's in Johannesburg legal at this time?
Where can I check the info?
