Hi Everybody;
I had to bid farewell to my SD dual view PVR, quite reluctantly as it was diligently servicing my home office and bedroom very well. In its place they gave me an explora and made my HD PVR (4 tuner one) the secondary on xtra view.
The agent at Randburg said that I would need a new "smart" LNB and bigger dish which I also got. He also said that I needed to put both cables on the new SAT c (I think thats what its called) port on the LNB, put the lead one lead on the HD PVR on tuner 4 (which turned out to actually be tuner 1) and change the config to SAT C. (THe other lead goes to the explora of course)
So I did all of that and at first it seemed to work. Then I noticed that every minute or so, the picture on the explora disappears for a few seconds, then comes back. I then looked at the tuner status and noticed that the signal disapears for a few seconds , then comes back. Quite by chance I turned off the HD PVR and the issue went away ? ? ? However turn it back on, and the explora intermittently loses signal then gets it back again.
I then thought it might be that both decoders are trying to power the LNB, so I turned the power LNB setting on the HD PVR off. This did not make any difference.
I am now at a loss at to what to do next.
Is there anybody here that have any ideas as to what to do next?
