Exporting emails from eM Client to Outlook 2013.

I made the terrible error of using http://www.emclient.com/ instead of Outlook 2013. EM Client is a pretty good client but I need to interface seamlessly with other users who have Outlook.

I am really struggling with transferring my mail from eM Client to Outlook. eM client only exports as *.EML.

I am at a loss, any advice would be appreciated.

Use an IMAP account on both email clients. Move all the emails in eMclient to the IMAP account and it will show up in Outlook as well. From there you can either keep using IMAP (which is quite handy if you want the same emails on your phone / tablet / TV / car) or move it to the normal INBOX.

I'm having trouble with text formatting, etc when doing work with other people who are using Outlook as their email client.

The only thing we can see that is different is the client I am using.

There are text formatting defaults that you can change. IIRC EM Client defaults to plain text but you can change this...
