Extend Contract Prematurely

I remember there was a thread a little while ago about this but I can't find it for some reason.

I remember Vodacom being able to extend your contract early (1 year to be exact) if you fell into a particular bracket of customer. Can someone Ockie or VodacomData assist regarding the requirements for such?
Friend broke their phone and looking at this as a possibility.
