Extend my Wifi signal.

How can i extend my wifi range?
Im using the 800gvt router from telkom(it must suck i know) anyway i want to know whats the furthest the wireless signal can go and is it possible to extend it. If so how?

If you want to extend it, you can use a router that supports repeating the signal, through WDS or bridged client mode etc..

Range of Wifi depends on alot of things, from the thickness and number of walls/floors between you and the router to interference from other routers.

How do i know if my router supports repeating the signal?

Havn't played around with it much but i think it's more a case of the 2nd router supporting the repeat function. Don't quote me on that thought, I'll see if I can find more info on it later.

Tin foil or tin can works pretty well too thats how i increased signal strength
