I am so tired of vodacon's promises to install equipment on my farm to extend coverage that I am resorting to this forum for advice.
Where can I obtain the nessessary hardware to extend data coverage on my farm?
Interested in data only. Not voice
Thanks
In advance

Get a high Db Poynting antenna for your 4G router, or Starlink

Would love to get Starlink but the anc won't let me
signal good outside?

Line of site. https://www.bobshop.co.za/mikrotik-lhg-lte6-kit-17dbi-outdoor-cpe-rblhgr-r11e-lte6/p/615502987

Or poynting antenna like airborne said

The advice you have been given is good.

High gain antennas for routers
Or a high gain outdoor CPE like @DTBA suggested

These may work well if you need data in your house or in a specific location on your farm. If you need coverage over your entire farm then a different solution would have to be implemented.

Question... Does MTN have coverage on your farm? If yes then their is a much simpler solution.

What solution would that be @BasBas ?

If Vodacom is dragging on, it is better to look for an independent solution. A good 4G repeater with directional antenna can do the trick, like the Poynting or MikroTik models. Otherwise, Starlink becomes a viable option in rural areas.
