Extending multiple desktops

If won't do much for gaming performance though and I'm sure the PSU will handle it, I could be wrong so get another opinion.

Don't game at all so not an issue in this case.

Update: Looking at your motherboard specs you already have a slot for crossfire, then all you need to do is look for a second hand 4800 series card. You can look/request one here: http://www.carbonite.co.za/

Your motherboard specs: http://za.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_1156/P7P55D_LE/#overview

Thanks for that!!

You'd need an ACTIVE dp to dvi/hdmi converter. That's it. Well besides the 3rd monitor that is.

But won't that just replicate one screen over others?

Eyefinity compatible with HD4xxxx series graphic cards?

The simplest, and cheapest, solution is the one I linked. You extend your desktop across the multiple monitors, then drag and drop each window you want open onto that particular monitor. When you shut down, and restart, when you reopen a particular window, it should default to opening on the monitor you had it maximized to last. Mixing different brands of GPU's will just complicate matters unnecessarily.

So considering my current setup would the following work:

HD 6770 1GB GDDR5 PCI-E DUAL DVI-I + Display port
+
S24A350H 24 Wide, 1920 x 1080, MEGA Contrast, 2ms, Analogue/HDMI

Would I need an active dp to dvi/hdmi convertor?

EDIT: No intention of making use of my mobo's crossfire feature due to the unavailability of HD4870 gpu's...
