External 2.5" encolsures - warning

Guys relax. If it works it works. I posted my original message to say if it doesn't work, don't force the issue, you might break it. But if it works, there's no need to worry.

well... honestly, i have found that the only way to deal with a 2.5" external hard drive is to go through a company that does them, ei lacie, they expensive. and from what i have discovered the lacie i'm using(100gig, 5400rpm, usb) works the treat on any thing it's plugged into, and after reading through the instruction manual, it says that if there's heavy load pug in the extra usb power cable or the drive will not speed up fully and won't give the desired speeds.

lacie drives are insanely expensive .... i suppose its quality for price! I have lots of issues with 2.5".... keep getting delayed failed writes and other stupid issues like copying a file at a friend and then coming home and its corrupt!
