External aerial for range extender

Hi All.

I need to get wifi in my garage which is standalone from my house. When the door is open wifi signal its fine, however when the door closes the wifi drops as the IBR roof and the steel door act like a faraday cage. Is it possible to get a wifi extender, and have an external aerial of 30cms on it (just enough for the extender to be in the garage and the external aerial to go through a double brick wall??

I would love to see someone use these little guys to extend the network through EoP (https://www.tp-link.com/za/home-networking/powerline/tl-wpa9610-kit/) So the same concept of EoP and range extenders only this time it's actually using EoP and not the wifi itself to make the connection over distance. That is to say, if your home is wired correctly since those EoP's are sensitive

Thanks Hartsock, I did consider this however, I understand that to use this you need to be on the same circuit breaker, never mind same DBBoard

Circuit breaker no same board yes. I use EoP's at my own home and it seems as though when you jump voltage it doesn't like it hense you limited to one household at a time cause of frequencies. Higher current = different freq I reckon, no idea personally but yea. That or run a cat5 cable from point A to point B to a router that will extend the wifi. Cause wifi bridges do not work great or at all.

Edit: Each room or section of my home is a different breaker so hence why I say circuit breaker no and db board yes
