External Antenna for Huawei E1752 (white speedstick)

Has anyone used this device to couple an external antenna to the Huawei E1752?

My connection speed could be better with improved reception, wondering how effective capacitive coupling is and whether its worth the expense.

You can, of course, ask the shop if they have a return policy should you not be satisfied with what you're getting.

One of their antenna definitely does work with the 900 range. The one i bought is a pretty wide band 820-1000 & 1710-2800

Agreed, rather use the ADPT-026, the ADPT-024 was designed to go on the back of a mobile phone.

These tests were all done using an ADPT-026.

Yes it does:

The ADPT-024 was in fact specially engineered for 3G band, but it is designed to work for the two voice bands (900 and 1800 MHz) and also the UMTS band (2000 - 2200 MHz).

Thanks all, have decided to go for the ADPT-026, as recommended by ginggs. You can't argue with those results!

This is what is indicated by the router. AT+CSQ yields 11, i.e. -91dBm (see here). Think it would be much better with an external antenna.

It seemed to me that with any signal in the -90 dBm's I got dropped more often and speeds were definitely lower.
