Got my hands onto the Huawei CPE Pro 5g to route an upgrade of the 4G Huawei CPE Pro.
Huawei 5G CPE Pro not only has all the functions of a home router, but also converts high-speed 4G and 5G signals into Wi-Fi signals, and supports 5G/4G signals or gigabit optical fiber broadband Internet access, improving home Internet access speed and experience. In the era Internet speed is everything the Huawei 5G CPE PRO allows users who do not have 5g ready devices to enjoy 5g internet speeds.

Out of the box the Huawei 5G CPE Pro comes with the normal quick guide, a power adapter and a RJ 45 cable. The router comes in stand matte white, with a curved corner square look. When you turn the router on it has a blue led light at the bottom and on the front panel you find the Lan, 4g and 5g lights with the one in use turning one when in use. Now under the covers lay the Barone 5000 chip which uses a single-chip multi-mode 5G module, which can implement 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G network systems in a single chip, effectively reducing the delay and power consumption as the router switches between multi-modes. The Huawei 5G CPE PRO also uses a butterfly Balun antenna, the receiving range of 5G signal is increased by 30% enabling users to enjoy better connectivity.

I guess in this working and learning from home era it has come at the right time. I am not a big fan of data or cellphone contracts so I found it very convenient to have a device I can slot in my prepaid sim. The Huawei 5G CPE Pro comes with two network ports for internet access through LAN cables. I am currently alternating between Telkom and Mtn 4g networks using sim cards and the connection on both networks is very good. Looking forward to sharing my experience as soon as my rain 5g sim arrives, I will do a speed speed test as soon as I have the 5G sim.
