Are you smoking something good? :p

The banks would never trust that kind of thing to an external company. Its all done in house in their own strictly controlled data centers. They buy bandwidth from most of the big boys and various companies would provide consulting to them. At the end of the day its a fully internal operation.

you are actually incorrect with that statement.

banks host there servers with data centres, nobody is going to touch those servers, the tech staff do not have access to them at all, and further more there where more cameras just in that nedbank block than in a bank itself. so they are safe.

Just a question: Why would you want to know? You planning on hacking in or something? :p

because perhaps he is interested to see what type of high profile clients use for there highly confidential servers. its a simple plain question.

I would think they host their own servers etc.
They would probably have this massive team of experts protecting their servers, monitoring them etc.
I mean, if I was FNB (whom I bank with) I wouldn't trust anyone else to do the job properly.

banks do not host the servers on there premises. further more they dont publically disclose where they host them. thou i am aware of some of them hosting at the jse's hosting enviroment.

and its kind of obvious if you look at the whois for fnb, IS host it.

From my understanding, all banks host their servers with multiple First Tier ISP's, to allow for DR and network redundancy

Banks have their own system that connects them to the backbone.... they prob use gateways like Mweb but not through mweb access.

Arnt they government based ie: can connect to backbones without a Tier 1.... hrm.

If you're so well informed why bring a topic back up over a year old now?
