Hi All,

Trust you are well.

I would like to know what are some good ways to get an extra income? Preferably online.

I am a shift worker and don't always have time after 5PM.

Thanking you in advance for the advice.

Regards

1. Share your accommodation, i.e. rent out a part of your flat, house or room to someone else.
2. Teach English online in a time-zone that suits your work schedule.
3. Buy inexpensive items at flea-markets and charity shops, clean them, fix them up, take clear, appealing photos and write detailed descriptions, and sell the items on gumtree.

That point three is an interesting one. Thanks

Learn how to program.
Then learn how to use react native and something like Google firebase so you can make "apps"
Then sell your time to other people who have ideas for apps.

I liked option 3. But selling on gumtree is a pain in the bottom

It depends. Since this would be, in this case, not the primary source of income, it's okay if it goes slowly.

Make your ads well, so that it is clear where you are, geographically, and specify pick-up only, no delivery, no courier. Then, if any buyer contacts you, confirm your strict rules with them, such that they suit you, with regard to methods of payment and pick-up times.

Choose safe pick-up places in the public, not at your home, where you want to be, anyway, during daylight. For example, the public library (where you can sit and read, anyway, for free) or in Café ABC (where you want to be anyway, to meet a friend). Specify cash only, or perhaps include some digital transaction you can verify immediately. Decide for yourself several slots that suit your schedule, and then offer the seller those, e.g. on Saturday morning from 9am to 11am, on Sunday from 2pm to 4pm. If the buyer commits, but doesn't show, that's not such a big deal if you've designed your time well.
