Extra view with Hd 5S and Explorer generation 1

Hello there. I need advice with my connections. I have a generation 1 explorer and an hd 5s and want connectfo extra view. Ihave a smart LNB and was told to buy a diplexer. How and where do i connect the diplexer and how should i connect the cables to the diplexer? Please help... the explorer works well but the 5s gives me E143
