Anyone know where I can get this done in JHB for under R30?

A beautician I went to yesterday, wanted to charge R50... for eyebrows! :wtf:

Practitioners use a pure, thin, twisted cotton thread which is rolled over untidy hairlines, moustaches and so on, plucking the hair at the follicle level. Unlike tweezing where a single hair is pulled out each time, threading can remove an entire row of hair, resulting in a straighter line. However, due to a larger area of hair being removed at once, it can be quite painful for some.

Like other methods of hair removal such as plucking or waxing, threading can result in skin irritation and ingrown hairs.

At any one of the gazillion pakistani hairdresser/barbershops in fordsburg. I dunno how women friendly they are though - might even be too friendly if you know what it mean.

PS i have never been, so dont take my work for it, but a guy at work reckons he cuts his hair there for R25 - so eyebrows must be cheaper.

Seems like today is the day of reviving old threads. First the HAWX one, now this one.

If you are anywhere near Edenvale, there is a dry cleaners at 59 or 57 Van Riebeeck. His name is Buti. His wife does it. Ask him for her details - she is around the corner from him but I can't remember - haven't spoken to them in ages.
