ok, so here is the situation,
maybe somebody can point me in the right direction,

slipped yesterday at Work, damaged my Glasses, still holding on, but barely
damage is confined to one side of the pair, frame is still intact, but its a rimless design, so cracked the side, but not much,

bit of superglue, will look like new, if I have to.

went to a few Torga, Spec savers, prices are insane, and I'll need to double it,
as ill need 2 pairs, one as a spare,

nobody wants to give me just a quote for 4 lenses, to upgrade the lens in both pairs and stay with the same frames.
they all want me to go whole hog and go for frame + lens, and again, ill have to go for 2 in my case, for a spare one.

honestly Im happy with my frame(s)
sent a email to optically.co.za, lets see what they say to me.

just want either 4 lenses with my new prescription, or 1 lens fixed up on my old prescription.
nobody can give me that simple thing.

Hi,

Rimless makes the lenses extremely expensive. Getting new frames with rims is a quarter the price.

Do you have anything special in your lenses?

Why do you need spares?

Are the lenses damaged or the frame? It’s unclear.

Also only stupid Americans call them eyeglasses. They are called spectacles down here.

Also, what’s your idea of prices being insane? Your perception may just be off to the current market.
