Is this DRS thing only for the second car, or can all cars use it. It seems only the cars who wants to pass enable it.

There's a 'detection zone' and a 'DRS zone'. If you're within 1 second of a car ahead of you (any car - even one you're about to lap) through the detection zone you can use it in the DRS zone itself. Thus, the person in P1 will not be able to use it unless he is coming up to lap someone.

yes, only the second car can use it, but:
1) the second car must be at least one second behind the first car, and
2) it can only be used in predefined places.

although, it can be used anywhere and anytime during practice and qualifying.

harhar looks like i was beaten.

Does anyone know if there's a rebroadcast scheduled? Missed the race with a family function and it looks as though it was pretty interesting.

Normally there is one at around 7 i think, in future though try not to login here or any place that has news haha :D. That way you can watch without knowing what happens.

Good advice!!! :D I tend to miss a few live broadcasts due to other commitments. I NEVER visit myBB until I get a chance to watch! Sometimes I only catch a race on Monday evening. I don't even listen to Radio on those particular Mondays. :D

I almost got caught out, i flipped over to rt but instantly i thought OMF not a news channel you doo$. Longest 3 hours of my life. I really could not sit through a gp if knew the results.

Wow you went til monday without knowing hahaha insane :D

Interesting, even if button was first he would not have come in for inters

Why was he trying to be in front of Hamilton at that point. Hindsight is good, both of them at that point in time thought that Webber and Red Bull did right move --it was too early to tell.

BTW Surely Hamilton would have had to change tyres anyway (once not twice) even if he didn't take the intermediates there because the super softs werent going to last. Was he compelled to use the super softs?? If not then that was the bad decision that lost the race.

Well whoever was first on track would get the option of the pit stop, so if it did rain very heavily hamilton would have had the upper hand.

The harder tyre's were not performing well so button may have needed to stop if conditions never changed as well either for the softer tyre or for inters.

I think there was so much confusion as to what would happen as well. I doubt anyone knew the harder tyre would perform so well either. When you are making the calls first up it is not easy to get it right.

Good race - sad to see hamilton loose, but good to see button take it.

hamilton lost it cause he spun out and definitely made an unsafe turn - not so much because of bad luck

He had lost the race way before he spun, he was only 6 seconds ahead and had to make another pitstop. He lost the race when he put the soft tyre on again.

I think it's safe to say at this level you cannot afford a single mistake. Hamilton/McLaren made 2 on the day and 1 in qualies so.... Margin for error is next to 0...

Yup but at the end of the day mclaren have pushed on big time and they look as though they now have the best car on track which can only good for the next few races. 3 teams that can win a gp is wonderful. The gap between those 3 and rest is flippin huge.

true - but I dont think there's any realistic chance for an upset in the drivers championship. its pretty much done - right? I hope i'm wrong, but it seems vettel only has to come in 2/3 with the odd win to take the championship; unless hamilton or button has a series of wins (which seems unlikely). And because of that nagging thought some of the excitement for the remainder of the season has gone for me; unless I'm very wrong...

Vettel just needs a fifth place finish in all eight remaining races to win the championship. Though it'll probably be done before the last race.

What happened to Schumi some years back could happen to Vettel, which is why Redbull won't be aiming for short of wins until it's properly over IMO.

Cartoon highlights of the Hungarian GP. Very funny.
