Actually i am not sure they do agree or he would have been handed a grid drop. Seems they also took the view hamilton took him off track but he could have avoided smashing into hamilton better :D

It doesn't matter the true racer who tried to race with no grip ended in the wall, a true idiot seems the more likely word for hamilton

And stewards have never made some odd & even inconsistent decisions? Rosberg got away with running Hamilton and Alonso off the track in Bahrain much to the disatisfaction of many who thought he was out of order. There was a debate in this very same thread where ''armchair racers'' - as you put it - felt Rosberg was guilty of aggressive driving. Stewards also change from race to race so there is always going to be some differing interpretations.

If he was as guilty (sole guilty party) as you are making him out to be why did he not receive a grid penalty like Vergne and Kobayashi? My only conclusion to this decision is that Maldonado has been viewed as the ''stupider'' of the two. But I continue to maintain my view; both drivers could have helped to avoid that. Racing incident. Hamilton left him no room to try and make the turn while Maldonado tried to race when he had been given no room to race.

I think both were at fault, Hamilton is required to leave Maldonado some space. As button was doing while being passed. And Maldonado after going off track looked like he got pissed and ran Lewis out. He should have ceded the position and kept his nose cone.
 
Watched the repeat yesterday.
Hamilton lost a place to Kimi on the same lap he blocked Maldonado, hes tires were so bad Kimi passed him easy, Maldonado made up 3 seconds in 2 sectors on Hamilton.

Seriously now Hamilton, the only thing he did was spoil Maldonados day and deny him the inevitable.

But as with F1 and Shumis reign, the good drivers always get away with things

Well you can be sure Hamilton didn't have the inclination to be timing Maldonado's sectors. If Maldonado was that much quicker then he was a twit for trying the move he did. He had no reason to take that chance, the position would have been his to take - just like Kimi managed quite successfully. There is no way Hamilton was obliged to move over for him. Seriously.
 
I was really looking forward to seeing Grosjean on the podium to make the race for champion more interesting. Alonso I think deserves it, but he was lucky Vettel dropped out.

My favourate team (McL) just were not in this race - and Hamster although he tried was just unlucky again not to get any points...sigh

Given what Shumi said in the press briefing, nobody knew wtf was going on the last 2 or so laps.
i doubt Maldonado realised how Hamilton popped up in the next corner, he just wanted to pass him thinking hamilton ran wide and prolly not aware that his tyres we done in.
Madonado wasnt quicker, Hamilton was that much slower.

I suggest you watch the repeat if you can, from lap 52/57.
Gives a better understanding of what happened and given Hamiltons own comments with the stewards, he didnt think it was entirely Maldonados fault.

Wait so pastor not quick, hamilton was slow. So if i said pastor was quicker that would be incorrect because hamilton was slower.

Lol lets assume Maldonado was at a constant speed, Hamilton was losing grip and fighting off Kimi, Hamilton runs wide, Kimi passes, Hamilton slow, trying to gain traction, Maldonado pops up behind him.

Is Pastor quicker or Hamilton slower?
 
Anyone know the possible reason for the trophy design they handed out?
Ive never seen it before in F1.

LOL well either way would work, hamilton was going slow due to his tyres, pastor was faster because his tyres were still good but either pastor was or hamilton was slow but it could be both. Long day so i hope that made sense.
