Actually, I think there's an argument for blaming Poopiehead Maldonado for the whole 1st corner fracas... His jumped start created the gap that gave Grosjean more momentum than those around him...![]()
Absolute horse shyte, i am sorry but a race ban is extreme.
It was a decent race. Crazy start. Felt sorry for Kobayashi. As much as I hate saying it, Vettel had an excellent race. Button was majestic up front but Vettel had to do some serious donkey work to get into second. The one race ban for Grosjean was a bit harsh considering what Maldonado has been up to this year. Now for the next race...
remember the trouble hamilton was causing, no race ban for him.
Example?
Do you recall the season when he had about 7 accidents mostly caused by him. Maldonado is in the same boat and not banned for a race.
This is politics and not playing by the rules. He made a mistake, banning him for a race is harsh.
BS in my opinion. Hamilton could have backed off to avoid it.

I would have given him a 2 race ban. Not only did he take out 3/4 drivers - he nearly caused the death/serious injury of those drivers. He was F..g lucky no one got hurt/killedHe may be a likeable guy, but that cannot substitute for he's utter stupidity and recklesness.
Just Imagine, it went slightly differently and (instead of flying harmlessly over Alonzo's car) he's wheel knocked Alonzo's head, causing serious trauma and then death...what would everyone be saying then.
On a lighter note...I loved how Vettel celebrated, spraying all the girls with champagne...He looks like he can get really naughty at times![]()

On a side note, do you another driver would have moved over to the grass if Grosjean was coming too close?
I think the stewards have an issue with the fact that an avoidable accident ended up nearly killing someone.
We'd be saying what a terrible accident, because that is what it was. Do you honestly think Grosjean sat there saying to himself "Yeah, I'm going to try and kill Alonso today". It's racing. Risks are taken and accidents happen. If you don't like that stop racing and stop watching. You have 24 cars steaming into a corner, full of fuel and on cold tyres. Mistakes will happen.
I honestly cannot believe all the theatrics over that accident. Back in the 90s it was a rarity to see clean starts.

I'm not saying be complacent but for goodness sake, it is racing. At high speeds. Danger is a given and accidents will happen.
