F1 2012 thread

Nope, never said that. I can't see how you came to that conclusion.
You don't have to elaborate if you don't want to make much sense. Your call.
Erm, your original comment (the one I quoted) didn't make much sense... It makes even less sense after this race.

Vettel dominating as usual :D.

Alonso drove very well as well.

Alonso and Hamilton drove the wheels off their cars, but that Red Bull is untouchable right now. Short of Ferrari finding something new or Red Bull failing, the DWC is Vettel's.

Hamilton never drove well, only when webber was in trouble did he push.

Redbull is untouchable due to vettel.

Look at it this way...
Unitl Singapore he had 1 win. All of a sudden, he 'finds his groove' at the same time that Red Bull sorts out their biggest problem - straight line speed and adopts their double DRS system... and Vettel wins 4 in a row pretty comfortably.

Also take into account 2 DNFs by Alonso (1 more than Vettel) and despite the superior car, he would very likely be trailing Alonso despite having 2 more wins.

Australia Jenson Button
Malaysia Fernando Alonso
China Nico Rosberg
Bahrain Sebastian Vettel
Spain Pastor Maldonado
Monaco Mark Webber
Canada Lewis Hamilton
Europe Fernando Alonso
Great Britain Mark Webber
Germany Fernando Alonso
Hungary Lewis Hamilton
Belgium Jenson Button
Italy Lewis Hamilton
Singapore Vettel
Japan Vettel
Korea Vettel
India Vettel

He owes Redbull and Adrian Newey for every victory he's had. I'm just sorry we're not watching Vettel chasing, my opinion might change. Not possible to tell right now.

Eerrrrm vettel was chasing the whole season, every driver including fernando owes the team sine credit but ultimately it's the driver that pulls it off!
FYI he thanks the team first after every win.

Yeah, agree, he gets it.

The Indian GP was very boring. hope Abu Dhabi is interesting.

Don't hold your breath as Abu Dhabi is probably one of the most boring races of the year.

"The facilities are second to none at Abu Dhabi. The track layout makes it really challenging for overtaking, while there are not too many places to pass. - Kimi Raikkonen''

What do you mean vettel hasn't chased? All he has done the whole season is chase. He proved he can chase without pole.

Only been his last four victories and bad luck for alonso has been vettels his saviour. He chased from round 1 and chased damn well. Perhaps you are blind or you don't follow the entire season ipx but vettel has not had the best car but he made the car work and got points.

Without vettel the world title would have been easy for alonso, with the likes of webber and hamilton chasing, alonso would have walked it but vettel stuck with it and chased and now he has the best car something he didn't have for 13 rounds. He should won a gp prior to his 4 in a row as well, his car was not the best then but it let him down.

It sounds like michael story, crediting his car for all his titles. Laughable, when hamilton wins it, most say it is because hamilton is a good driver. The talent vettel had was visible long before redbull him on, he even won in a torro rosso and drove well enough to get his seat. He never walked into f1 with the best car but he is one of the best drivers, i think only alonso can rival him.

Either way, we getting a triple world champion, am I correct ?

I prefer Kimi, not arrogant. Hate when Vettel makes his funny face and shows his index finger.

Without any problems on Vettels car and him finishing every race....you are correct!

Also, I do not understand how people can say vettel is arrogant, he seams to be one of the friendliest people when seen on television compared to the other drivers....he might show his disappointment at times when not performing where he wants to....but that shows me he wants to be the best and nothing else....being very confident <> arrogance; Without starting something, most of the top drivers are arrogant, a driver saying he races adrian and not sebastian....serriously? This kid is gonna dominate f1 for few more years to come, better get used to it!!

yeah you guessed it, I'm a vettel fan :p

Also agree 100% with your post killa!

Why so emotional Killa? I don't see why you think we are saying different things.

Firstly, I never said Vettel hadn't chased. I said I'm sorry we're not watching Vettel chase. I'm talking about now, today. It would be far more exciting than to watch a Redbull whitewash for the rest of the season. For the Vettel fans, I'm not sure what channel you watch, but he hardly featured in the last few races. You don't get to watch the boy with the fastest car out front.

Secondly, it seems we agree! Vettel would have been pwned by Alonso had they not given him the machine he has today, and had Alonso not DNF'd. I don't see why you think I'm saying anything different. In short, as you said, Vettel didn't have the best car for 13 rounds and had to fight to see Alonso's tail. And I don't think Alonso had the best car either ;) As for Hamilton, he had enough help from his pit crew and retirements too, hence he too chased for most of the season. And guess what? When he was given a better car and his pit stops went smoothly... he ended up in front! Surprise! We agree :)

Well alonso had two bad races where he lost possible points, vettel had a victory sealed before his car broke. So you can take the 50 point lead alonso had and half it. So with good luck for both vettel would have over taken him anyhow had alonso finished those two races and vettel won that race he was certain to win.

You said he cannot chase which he has done all season, i am not really a vettel fan. I don't support anyone with passion but i can see vettel and alonso are the best f1 drivers. It would be nice to see them in the same car.

Yup, i have noticed he tends to say vettel can only win from pole and can't chase but he is thinking that isn't true, hard to read his mind. Much easier to read his posts :D

Emotions, Killa. There's a difference between Vettel wins mostly from the front row and Vettel can only win from the front row. The one suggests something, the other states it as fact. You only state something as fact if you're actually 100% sure and can confirm it, or you're being emotional about your point.

I doubt any of us can see who the top two F1 drivers are and it's always going to be opinion. I can tell you with way more certainty who the top designers are at the moment.
