F1 weekend
All the soccer has almost overshadowed a very important date on Sunday 2pm.
+1. Only problem is... I won't be able to watch it which is disappointing as I'm stoked that the F1 circus has returned to the A1 ring. Which brings me on to a question... I stream F1 which is well and good when the racing is live, but a bit of a problem if I want to watch a 'rebroadcast'. Are there any websites that you knowledgeable bunch know of where I can watch a replay?
McLaren says there is no guarantee its new upgrade package for the Austrian Grand Prix will be immediately "raceable".
Despite scoring two podium finishes at the opening race in Australia, it soon became clear that this year's McLaren is lacking downforce compared to its rivals. The team has targeted the Austrian and British Grands Prix for a fightback, but ahead of this weekend's trip to the Red Bull Ring, team boss Eric Boullier has tempered expectations.
"Since the beginning of the season, we've stated that we need to bring more downforce to the car," he said. "Of course, that's a constantly moving target - for this weekend, however, we'll be evaluating a number of short- and long-term performance steps.
"It's still too early to feel confident about calling them raceable options - it's more about evaluating their applicability at the circuit than simply hoping they'll improve lap-time. Nonetheless, we hope the steps will pave the way for an improvement."

Great, more crappy news for me. Or more of the same news.
I don't know why I even bother. Alas, as a fan, after how many years of disappointment do you ditch your team ?
Never. That's what being a fan/supporter means. You always stick with your team never stop supporting them.
I don't know hey.
You become a fan because you can relate to the team, they align with what your vision is what the sport is about. And they perform in a way that's music to your eyes (not necessarily winning).
Over the last few years I have not been getting this from my team. Supporting a team just because you have been supporting them in the past is also not a great reason.
Debatable.
Ron Dennis had a lot to do with what I liked about McLaren.
+1 on this. I'm a Macca supporter, but I don't feel bad for giving kudos to Merc this year with the effort they've put in to their new system. Doesn't make me a Merc supporter.
Looking forward to seeing McLaren back with Honda next year. I really hope they go back to the orange and white livery. Talk about a trip down memory lane!![]()
It's going to interesting when Honda arrive at McLaren next year...

F1 Grand Prix winner Jarno Trulli has announced that he is to form and manage a new team for the FIA Formula E Championship, TrulliGP Formula E Team, with which he will race in the new all-electric series having taken over the entry of Drayson Racing.
Following approval from the FIA, TrulliGP has been granted the 10th team entry for the championship, following the withdrawal of Drayson Racing. Drayson Technologies will be entering into a supply and sponsorship arrangement with TrulliGP to be the squad's principal technology partner. As part of this, TrulliGP will begin work on Drayson's wireless charging technology - which offers the potential to free electric vehicles from the constraints of cable-based charging.
"I am pleased that the FIA selected TrulliGP to be part of the FIA Formula E Championship," said Trulli. "Having gained fantastic experience as a driver in Formula 1, my involvement in the FIA Formula E Championship will certainly be a new challenge, not only as a driver but also as a team owner. Competing at the highest level of performance with a clean energy car with the support of Drayson Technologies makes this challenge even more exciting. I am very pleased to be a pioneer of this new Formula E project."
Trulli becomes the eighth driver to sign for Formula E alongside Daniel Abt and Lucas di Grassi at Audi Sport Abt, Sam Bird and Jaime Alguersuari at Virgin Racing, Bruno Senna and Karun Chandhok at Mahindra Racing and Franck Montagny at Andretti Autosport.
The FIA has confirmed that there will be two DRS zones at the Red Bull Ring this weekend for the Austrian Grand Prix.
The detection point of the first zone is 360m before Turn 2, with the activation point 85m after Turn 2. The second detection point is 10m after Turn 8 with the activation point 110m after Turn 9.
This being the first Grand Prix at the venue since 2003, the teams are treating it as a new event as data and statistics from 11 years ago are simply not relevant to today's racing.
Of the 22 drivers taking part in Sunday's race, only four, Jenson Button, Kimi Raikkonen, Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa have raced on the circuit in F1 cars before, though a number have raced here in other disciplines.
That track is built for Redbull no doubt. I wonder if we'll see another Ricciardo win?FIA reveals Red Bull Ring DRS zones

Watched Absolute F1 yest, that track is jut too beautiful wit hits ups and downs and forresty areas. I hope we get entertained.

Very possibly. After such a long absence nobody (apart from RB for obvious reasons) will have accurate telemetry and with so few current grid drivers having raced there little experience.
So should be interesting.
Dont think it matters much, its a VERY easy track, bunch of short straights with 90 degree turns at the end
