I like Gasly. I like Checo.

F1 is a cut throat sport. You get one shot. Gasly had his. So did Checo. Checo was drafted back from the dead and so far, he's justifying that decision.

Unfortunately Gasly will need to find a different front running team if he wants to go further than his current drive.. It is what it is.
Well that's the theory, but RB have history of shaking things up mid season... Hopefully Checo can satisfy CH in playing second fiddle to golden boy otherwise he's not going to be around IMO.

I'm willing to bet Max can have a crap season and will still be there.

While this is true that Hamilton has benefited from having the best car to an extent, it also misses the point and downplays the respect Hamilton deserves. Hamilton did have the best car on the grid for years but the same applies to fellow legends, Sebastian Vettel who won four straight World Championship titles and Michael Schumacher who won seven titles.

Both Schumacher and Vettel would definitely not have won Championships had they been driving middle of the pack cars."

Effectively, he says Schumacher won his titles in a top-performing car. DTS didn't go back as far as when he won 2 WDCs in a mid-field Benneton! He clearly forgot that.
Also same can be said for Vettel, but RBR weren't quite the top performing car when he won the first couple.

And he's basically shooting himself in the foot by also alluding to the fact that Hamilton wouldn't have won if he was in a mid-pack car, thereby creating the impression that the only way he won 7 WDCs is because of the car.

This is 1 way to completely destroy the guy's champ credibility when you're trying to protect it.

Audi and Porsche set for F1 green light: https://www.gpfans.com/en/f1-news/79194/audi-and-porsche-set-for-f1-green-light/

"... Reports on Thursday have suggested the rumours that have long surrounded the two car manufacturers are drawing to a close and that a decision is due next week, with McLaren and Red Bull again being touted as likely partners

In November, McLaren dismissed "wholly inaccurate" reports the team had been sold to Audi.

Earlier this year, however, McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown confirmed talks had taken place with regard to a future partnership.

In the same media briefing, Brown additionally commented, "They [Volkswagen] are going to do something with Red Bull on the Porsche front."

Thursday's reports suggest Audi is willing to offer a fee of around €500million [£422m] for McLaren, an option simpler than attempting to join the grid as a new entrant.

A deal between Porsche and Red Bull has been spoken of since the Milton Keynes-based team parted company with Honda.

With its Red Bull Powertrains facility nearing completion, the lack of set-up costs for Porsche is an enticing prospect. ..."

I know this is F1, but this year there's no excuse to not watch MotoGP

It's Argentina this weekend.
Go Binders!

So, looks like the wife and I are working out how we are going to go back to Vegas to go watch the F1 there next year!

Looks to be a good addition to the calendar.

Digus Bickus returns to Vegas. That sounds like a good comedy right there.

Better make sure it was not just an April Fools joke before you book the Tickets....

That article seems to say the race is real but all the figures are not (the first $1 billion dollar race etc).

Exactly, so they may decide that it is not economically viable and postpone it indefinitely as they did in NY or for a while as in Miami (though Miami is yet to materialise).

Dmitry Mazepin was born in April so that would make him F1's greatest April Fool's Joke
