The "butthurt" stems from the fact that it was said an infraction would be dealt with harshly, and this did not happen. Point is that they overspent, and at the end they could say it was catering but maybe the others spent the same on catering, and less on their cars. This might just lead to more teams overspending because it's clear that if you overspend slightly you can get away with a slap on the wrist,

Better now would be to scrap the cost cap.
Yes, for sure. Or bloody raise the cost cap. There used to be so many discernible differences between cars. And I am talking physically in the past (remember that horrible front whale nose of the Williams BMW!). It's all gone and the cars barely look different, except for Merc's no-pods which haven't offered much performance gain (other issues with the car notwithstanding).
Make the cost cap $175 million. Go from there.
But Ferrari were guilty in 2019 and effectively ended Vettel's final charge for a 5th title when they had to roll back their "gains" and then kept it secret. My point is that these Team LH "fans" forget that and harp on about RBR. It happened in the past, but it's not convenient to remember that.

Did it ever occur to you that that MB was not the only effected party?

All teams, but more importantly F1 as a sport, have suffered as a result of this fiasco.

So please, stop this stupid MAX vs HAM argument every time and look at the larger Picture of what FoM, the FIA and DTS are doing to our sport, no mater if you are a HAAS or a McLaren fan.
Did it ever occur to you that it's only the Team LH fans who registered in 2021 who are vocal and pathetic in their responses? Other fans are more measured and actually get a proper point across.

There is no stupid Verstappen vs. Hamilton argument I am pushing, and if it offends you, well then too bad. Don't read what I have to say.
It's reality. Both sets of "fans", and I use that term very loosely to separate them from the real F1 fans, are pathetic, childish and, at times, highly offensive in their statements.

DTS...well, F1 is now a commercial company and they're going to make money. They're going to manipulate an F1 season's words, actions and outcomes as much as they can for entertainment purposes. This is exactly why I have never watched any of the episodes ever. When the season is done, it's done and you can look back and debate what has happened without any manipulation.

The FIA? Well they did a good job in the past right and nobody complained. Now they are. What changed? Where's the background information we are all looking for. New management might have something to do with it, but then the fans need to boycott the races, F1TV and watching the races to send a message, and that's not happening. Until then, they'll keep on doing whatever it is they're doing and they'll never please any side of an argument. What they do will always be wrong in someone's eyes, right!

The merc no pod design wasn't suppose to happen. Merc just happen to find the option is there and when they checked with the FIA early in development, the FIA even said thats not what we intended, but it was allowed because the regulations didnt block it.

Funny how it turned out for merc. I will bet its gone next year.

All that means is that it was allocated to catering. Unless you have the slips and witness how can you show otherwise. But then I suppose you have never got an expense past the Tax Man by listing it as Entertainment.

A budget is a budget, over spend on development and allocate it to catering. Within Reason no one will notice.
So any overspend, be it sandwiches or Carbon Fiber, still gives them a financial and, therefore, a speed advantage.
1. I have never claimed anything fake or illegal against the tax man. Stupid analogy and assumption without knowing me personally. Might work for others, but I keep my taxes clean.

2. Unless you have the slips and witness, how can YOU show otherwise that it WASN'T catering? You cannot, so it's your personal opinion and it's immediately dismissed as that. Nothing more. Conspiracy. Unless the information to counter this is presented by someone.

3. If they stayed within their budget for the car, R&D and testing, then that was all in order and the car really never was illegally developed. It was simply down to the micro-upgrades they brought during the year.

To be honest, and excluding the other issues with that car, I was surprised they never changed back to the side pods design they did have in the first round of testing.
Unless they kept it as they thought this was the only way to keep them in touch of the RBRs and Ferraris, and out of touch of the McLarens and Alpines!? But they won't admit to that. It is radical that's for sure and must have some decent design implications.

Yeah they won't admit. But I believe they did state they want to better understand the current concept before abandoning it.

The akkodis post race review videos from merc is a great watch each week after the race.

I'll give this a watch.

To be honest, those post race reviews are the best thing from merc. I am not a merc fan, but I really appreciate those videos. I wish Ferarri and RBR did the same thing. RBR however only release their behind the charge videos, which I guess is nice for the new fans but for people interested in the technical thinking of the team, the merc videos are great.

They would definitely help for people wanting to know more technically (without giving away too much of their proprietary information), but also for any kids wanting to become engineers to fuel that fire.

It's a pity to see how Sky Sports have brainwashed people, it's even evident here on our SA forum.
The FIA should look into this and maybe ban Sky for at least one season. No slap on the wrist or something under the carpet. Ted Kravitz should lose his salary from last year or at least from the last race of 2021, he has robbed people of their logic.

You are delusional, please get back onto your meds. The same people still moaning about Abu Dhabi started complaining right after, Sky wasn't needed for anyone to see that GTA going on. But that ship has sailed so it's time for both camps to let it go.

How have they brainwashed people?

If people are that thick and gullible that they willingly allow themselves to be "brainwashed", then the issue doesn't lie with Ted Kravitz. It means they've got a major problem of their own to deal with that they cannot think logically by themselves.

Easier said than done, it can and will never go away as it is recorded in the history books.
It forms part of one of the longest wining streaks in F1 history, so you may get this generation of Fans to stop talking about it (highly unlikely) but any future Fan of F1 will read up about it and debate it for as long as the sport survives. The later being another issue up for debate.

The poster you're engaging with is thick. You're wasting your time.

I'd agree with many of your points but there is a vocal group who will jump in with "But Merc..." or "But Hamilton..." every time someone criticises Max or RB. Even when the issue is nothing to do with Merc or is a complaint by a number of teams.

Sometimes it gets tedious and makes people bite back.

The irony.
So for weeks there have been speculations and theories running around on this thread and complaints about what the penalties should be.
Then I come with some satire and even want penalties for Kravitz in the same narrative as the points deduction you guys want for RB. LOL and then you two fall for the bait.
The kindergarten insults the two of you are trying now, just confirm that even you know I baited and caught you.

Anyway, don't expect a response from me when you reply, ask Oh No, I don't respond to weak comebacks.
