It was Latifi. He probably took a leaf out of Seb's book from last year when the marshall didn't have a clue on what to do.I feel for Williams, they deserve a good season.
Hope they can figure out what this issue is and get it fixed rapidly. Good to see Albon in there with the extinguisher, not sure why the other Marshall wasn't on it though.
Ah yea, right you are.It was Latifi. He probably took a leaf out of Seb's book from last year when the marshall didn't have a clue on what to do.
They've dubbed that bouncing as "porpoising", and they mostly all have it. the Alpine doesn't seem to do it as much, nor does the AMR. Ferrari looks pretty stable.Hmm... my first look at the 2022 cars in action and what strikes me is how much the cars are bumping around and bottoming out at times. The Merc looks damn good though, Aston Martin looked ok as well. Still trying to get used to the mudguards and high front wing, Merc's controversial side pods actually look pretty good, I like. It's also good to see Kmag back in F1.
I read about the porpoising, I'm talking mainly about the car handling through slow corners and bumpy parts of the circuit, the cars look very stiff and unsettled compared to previous years, the Haas particularly looked to be a handful. They've dubbed that bouncing as "porpoising", and they mostly all have it. the Alpine doesn't seem to do it as much, nor does the AMR. That Merc, along with the RBR, is not showing its true pace. Or it is and they're both going to be slower this year due to not really developing the car due to them fighting for both championships last year. Certainly it wasn't 100% focus for both teams last year.
I'm to stupid for these things. Few of the other cars looks good, but read somewhere on F1.com that in race simulation the Merc and RB still seems to have the edge. They even had times, don't know what race simulation means and where they get that. They've dubbed that bouncing as "porpoising", and they mostly all have it. the Alpine doesn't seem to do it as much, nor does the AMR. Most, if not all of the teams seem to have some form of issue. There have been a lot of lockups today in this morning/afternoon session for every single team. It looks like it happens when the DRS flap snaps shut.I read about the porpoising, I'm talking mainly about the car handling through slow corners and bumpy parts of the circuit, the cars look very stiff and unsettled compared to previous years, the Haas particularly looked to be a handful.
Well the commentators on F1tv did say this morning that this track is much rougher than the previous testing track, combined with extreme heat and big crosswinds today, that the cars will very difficult to drive today. They've dubbed that bouncing as "porpoising", and they mostly all have it. the Alpine doesn't seem to do it as much, nor does the AMR. I check the live stream every now and again.I'd agree with that, I haven't been able to watch all the testing due to work but all the bits I have seen I've noticed the Merc seems to be short shifting most of the time.
I think you're right, those fat gumballs used to absorb quite a bit of the shock.Well the commentators on F1tv did say this morning that this track is much rougher than the previous testing track, combined with extreme heat and big crosswinds today, that the cars will very difficult to drive today.
And also the new tires are not finely sculpted like previous tires(for cost reasons) so they unsettle the cars way more. You can see how the drivers try to avoid the curbs.
Thanks for the heads up.Drive to survive s04 just dropped

Race simulation is usually long runs on the hardier compounds. Lap times will be slower but consistent for a sustained period.I'm to stupid for these things.
