F1 2022

One shudders to think of the sort of money that has changed hands especially as Bahrain will be determined to retain its prestigious opening slot on the calendar.
...
Of course, the big question is, will F1 even be around in 2036... highly unlikely if there are any repeats of the Abu Dhabi fiasco.
Abu Dhabi was awesome! And I'm pretty sure that viewership for the first race of 2022 will be significantly higher than for the first race of 2021.

Watched the McLaren Launch. Loving the look of this car

Lol, you cannot be serious. As if Abu Dhabi 2021 has been the biggest "fiasco" in F1.

The 2022 season should start so that we can stop with the drama.

What would you consider worse than 2021 Abu Dhabi?

Don't shoot the messenger, I was quoting Pitpass.com

But I did agree with their sentiment.

I wouldn't be willing to put a bet on F1 still being around in 2036, just from the point of view of ICE power being viewed like smoking these days.
Those are the real concerns over F1's future, not what happened in Abu Dhabi.

Indy 2005 comes to mind...
Right, but the reason we're not discussing indy 2005 is because it's 7 years old. Abu Dhabi still lives on 1) until FOM announce the outcome of their investigation on Monday and 2) until a new DWC is announced.

2005 blew one Race and cost F1 a bad rep in America.
2021 blew an entire Season and cost F1 a bad rep Globally.

FIA has now shot themselves in Both Feet I doubt they or F1 can survive another scandal.
Lol. F1 is healthier now (financially and following) than it has ever been.

There's no way you could measure the impact of the last race of the last season before the first race of the current season.

We have to endure an entire year with a half-baked WC. Not Max' fault, poor chap.

And yet, here we are. A couple of months later still talking about the last race. As are millions others. Do you think F1 could have scripted a better way of keeping fans/followers/public engaged during the off season than Lulu's little tantrums?
