Aston Martin reveal cause of Vettel's issue

Sebastian Vettel's stoppage on track this morning brought out the final red flag of the session. Aston Martin have now confirmed that this happened due to an oil leak.
The leak caused a small fire, and the team are now investigating where the issue came from.

Perez sets a lap of 1:34.691 on the Intermediates, suggesting that the times are coming down as track conditions continue to change.

Bottas heads out on circuit in the Alfa Romeo, and puts in a lap of 1:34.389 before improving to a 1:33.756.

Perez then beats that with a 1:32.677, the fastest time of the wet weather session so far.

Now Sainz has toppled Perez's time by setting a lap of 1:30.952. The Spaniard is known to enjoy driving in damp conditions.

Bottas goes faster

A new fastest lap in the current session for Bottas, who sets a 1:30.433. Getting this mileage in is positive for Alfa Romeo, who experienced some issues during the previous days of testing.

Albon has gone out on Soft tyres, as track conditions continue to change. There is still two and a half hours left to run in this session.

The Williams man has since returned to the pits.

Lap times coming down

Sainz looks to be out on the Soft tyres, and has set a lap of 1:24.476, showing that the times are heading closer towards those seen in dry conditions.
Meanwhile Ricciardo has gone out on the Medium compound.

Sainz is five laps into his run on the Softs, whilst Ricciardo has put four laps in on the Medium compound. Albon has joined them on track, too.

The times are still falling, with Sainz setting a lap of 1:22.311.

Sainz and Hamilton have put the laps in

In terms of this afternoon's session, it looks like Sainz and Hamilton have put the most laps in so far, which each having amassed 38 at last count.
Albon is on 36 - though this combines his laps from both the morning and afternoon, given that he ran in each session - whilst Ricciardo has done 35.

Hamilton on track again

And just like that, Hamilton returns to the track to put more laps in. The seven-time World Champion sets a time of 1:26.674 on the Softs.
Meanwhile Sainz puts in a lap of 1:21.967.

Perez returns to the track

The Red Bull of Perez is back in action, and he sets a 1:27.938 on the Hard tyres. Elsewhere Sainz has set the fastest time of the session so far with a 1:21.776.

We are approaching the halfway point of this session, and Russell's fastest lap from this morning remains at the top of the timesheets.

The times in this session are coming down, though, with Albon having recently set a 1:20.847 on Soft tyres, the fastest lap of the afternoon so far.
