Touched on your studio much? It's been 4 races with both Merc cars finishing yet you're at end of days? Lol.Dude, I don't have to like your driver at all. It's fine, move on.
Sainz was pushed off this race, and in Oz it was his fault.
My logic is sound.
For all Hamilton's "rah-rah we are one" talk when winning, it becomes a very sad state of affairs with no similar talk like Russell gives, and the team principal having to apologize to Hamilton for the poor car he has been given.
Meanwhile, Russell, in the same car, is up to 4th (5th if not for Le Clerc messing up). Did we ever hear Wolff giving Russell a big verbal pat on the back after the race on radio?
Watch what happens in the next couple of races. It will be interesting. Merc won't be able to mount much of a comeback. Time to pick up points where they can, support Russell, and focus on next year. And then hopefully we end up having a 3-way fight for the title.
Nope, go read the articles written by Villeneuve and Kravitz.Touched on your studio much? It's been 4 races with both Merc cars finishing yet you're at end of days? Lol.
As for your verbal pat on the back.. Toto to Russell (Radio) - "George, well done. We're missing that front flap but considering that, you really held on well. Congratulations"
The only person thinking this is you.Move on dude, nobody has to agree with your thoughts all of the time or support who you support.
Analysis with opinion is just that. We're 4 races in with the longest season in history ahead.Nope, go read the articles written by Villeneuve and Kravitz.
Thanks for your attempted endorsement, but you're right. I am sorry you feel otherwise. The only person thinking this is you.
For sure...and here I was pointing out it was other people who said that and not me.The only person thinking this is you.

Good point. George put that Williams into finishing positions that were way above its paygrade. He has had years of experience pushing the donkey, while Lewis, as skilled as he no doubt is, has had arguably the most composed and speedy machine in the pack to slice his way through for Merc's 8 championship wins....Well to be fair. Russell came from a pretty bad Williams. So the Merc is a huge upgrade for him, even if its slow. He is still young and even competing for 5th to 8th place will be exciting for him.
Cant expect Hamilton coming from dominating for so long to suddenly be excited to race for 8th place at the end of his career.

His setup has obviously been better every week. There is no way the legendary Sir Labrador can be outdriven by the young pup. /sThere is also the possibility that Merc are trying different settings and parts in an effort to solve their aero problems and Russell's setup was better than Hamilton's.

...question: Would the poor showing by Merc not be down to not having sidepods? Aston Martin and McLaren both did pretty well and they also have Merc engines.
Maybe it's the aerodynamics surrounding that fact that's causing their issues? (Note: I know it's not solely down to the engine, but the entire package).
They have a cost cap issue so alot of it is currently sensor (Lewis is running ride height and other) and setup related. I would wait for Merc's upgrades but not sure if it'll be now or a month from now.The Merc is a bit of a shìtshow this year, it really wouldn't surprise me if they aren't throwing every idea they get at each car trying to find one that works.
But they didn't debut the car with no-pods. If it's an issue, why not just change the body of the car? They have a cost cap issue so alot of it is currently sensor (Lewis is running ride height and other) and setup related. Looks like he just escaped with his life from an accident at the Jik factory.Oh... Just got permabanned on reddit for reposting this

It's not the cost of the parts but the cost to long term development in terms of wind tunnel, cfd runs etc which Merc is extremely restricted this year. They'll know their package performance with various designs and will move forward with what makes sense - evidently this is the "no pod" design. Aero is not just shape but also weight distribution etc. For all we know Merc's design takes into future consideration of the demand for removal of ERS to coincide with the demands from Audi/Porsche and their entry into F1.Changing bits of the aero or floor wouldn't be expensive, but can have significant influences on airflow. Also, as @OhYeah84 says, there is a 2022 body with side pods, I don't know why they don't go back to that and see if they can improve the issues.
