Uh... I thought the delay was lack of power for the lights and other electronics? Not that that's a valid excuse but there was some electrical glitch I believe. The FIA was criticised after the Monaco GP for the race director, Eduardo Freitas, delaying the start because of rain. Lewis Hamilton was among several drivers who said they could have at least begun the race before the rain became too heavy and that the FIA was too conservative in its concern that the drivers had not done any wet running until that point. “I don’t know the reason for them not sending us out,” he said. “We are Formula One drivers; [the weather] is not a good enough reason.”
Crikey, that is bad lolFernando Alonso was equally damning of the FIA stewards after he received a penalty in Miami. “We believe that it was very unfair and it was just incompetence from the stewards, they were not very professional,” said Alonso on revealing that when he and his Alpine team went to present evidence to the stewards after the race they had packed up and were not even in the room.
Seb to McLaren next year?
Gasly would be my pick.Seb to McLaren next year?
That would also be a good pick. I don't see him forcing his way back into RBR to be honest and he's a bit wasted at AT.Gasly would be my pick.
I think Seb is in his sunset phase - doubt he'll move to another team before retiring. Anything is possible though...That would also be a good pick. I don't see him forcing his way back into RBR to be honest and he's a bit wasted at AT.
Hamilton to leave Merc at the end of the year, and Seb to sign up...a German racing for a German team with a German in charge (I suppose the Hamilton fans are going to be triggered by that oneI think Seb is in his sunset phase - doubt he'll move to another team before retiring. I doubt either of those is a possibility.Hamilton to leave Merc at the end of the year, and Seb to sign up...a German racing for a German team with a German in charge (I suppose the Hamilton fans are going to be triggered by that one).
Wolff is Austrian and while Merc has a German license, they're based in England.Hamilton to leave Merc at the end of the year, and Seb to sign up...a German racing for a German team with a German in charge (I suppose the Hamilton fans are going to be triggered by that one).
They all sound the same to him.Wolff is Austrian and while Merc has a German license, they're based in England.
Are you suggesting Merc bring back the all german Schumacher-Mercedes era?Hamilton to leave Merc at the end of the year, and Seb to sign up...a German racing for a German team with a German in charge (I suppose the Hamilton fans are going to be triggered by that one).
How can they? I am wishfully thinking that Vettel would join the Merc team. Are you suggesting Merc bring back the all german Schumacher-Mercedes era?
Maybe that was the plan with this failure of a car all along.
Thanks for the clarification on Wolff, and Mercedes-Benz is a German car manufacturer no matter where they build the F1 car.Wolff is Austrian and while Merc has a German license, they're based in England.
Latifi is useless and Stroll is continually outperformed by Sebastian Vettel every race. Once his dad sells AMR to Audi (and they cease to exist in F1 again!), Stroll is gone. It's way early in the season, but drivers that are going to start getting nervous should include Ricciardo, Zhou & Schumacher. Latifi and Stroll should be on this list too, but you know, dollars and all that. Hamilton might throw in the towel at the end of this year. Gasly will definitely be hoping to move into one of the top teams, with Piastri and de Vries knocking on the door for a seat.
Yep, one can only wishI doubt either of those is a possibility.
