Predictions for the race week anyone?

1. AMR to turn up the power of Seb's car so that he's at the front end of the grid for the final 10 races.
2. Seb to, once more, outperform the team owner's son.
3. Checo to have a significantly better race.
4. Merc to default back to being mid-runners again after Seb jumps both of them.
5. Le Clerc to have managed to get over being psychologically destroyed last week and actually finish this one.

All tongue-in-cheek so nobody should take that all personally.

I'm hoping that Lewis and George will be at their sharpest this weekend. I'm also hoping that Checo shares some of his tequila with Max. Want to see a Merc 1-2

This year has been a case of "what clown show do we have to look forward to from Ferrari this week"?

Will probably be another Max win, followed by the above...

No one doubts that, just wondering how they will fck it up this time.

Regulatory gray zone: here is the unprecedented Aston Martin rear wing: https://www.formu1a.uno/zona-grigia-regolamentare-ecco-linedita-ala-posteriore-aston-martin/

"... the Aston Martin in Budapest presents itself with a new and innovative rear wing , ready to 'challenge' the 2022 regulations. So far we have seen rear wings undergoing a progressive transition between the mainplane and the side skirts while last year inceve we were used to seeing two separate elements: the mainplane with the movable wing that fit into the side endplates, resulting in two distinct pieces. The regulation was written by setting the minimum radii that the teams must respect to build this element, resulting so far in rather similar designs.

Aston Martin has instead found a way to take a step back, moving closer to the old regulations but remaining within the new regulations . Thus a newly designed rear wing has arrived in Hungary, which Formu1a.uno can reveal to you in preview.

The mainplane fits into the rear wing structure, but as you can see the side bulkheads are higher and create a 'curl' for the fitting (which from the top part then connects to the horizontal part of the aileron), thus going to respect what are the current regulations, but with a design that is more reminiscent of what we saw last year. ..."

Does that not prove why Michael Schumacher would always be the only GOAT
Well he had a competent team at the top of their game, and not a bunch of circus monkeys.

But I rate him up there not because of his domination with Ferrari, but because of his stint with Benetton...

...honestly the only way Merc can get there is when both RBRs/Ferraris are out. They don't have the pace to keep up with them, but do have the pace to keep the 1 McLaren of Norris behind them, and now have Alonso prowling in the back with his Alpine.

They not only kept up with the one RB last week, they overtook him even. It's not incomprehensible that they could keep up again this weekend, admittedly Max was someone faster than Checo. Ferrari, yeah, don't see them keeping up with, those cars are fast. But chances are the red clowns will fck it up in some way or the other anyway so there's always a chance. No matter how small.

Or Bottas could be on the front row again and just remove the fast cars for us.

No idea what Checo was doing last week, but they certainly never closed the gap to Verstappen or Le Clerc (when he was on track).

You are correct on the Ferrari strategy though. Will be interesting to see what happens. Either they get it fantastically correct and are unreachable, or get it catastrophically wrong and it's another week (3 weeks in this next case) of jokes about it. Maybe they should get some proper strategists and race engineers on that pit wall for 2023.

If it rains, Hamilton for the win.

Ferrari will do a double stacked Pitstop on lap 2 to try and undercut the entire field.....

Hey man fck off, I just laughed hard enough for my colleague next door to come and ask if something is wrong.

:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

Haas also looking to be quicker than normal this weekend ( so I have heard ), going to mix it nicely with the mid-field - Merc's, you need to watch out...

I believe that Bottas's bonus was calculated based on the number of times he eliminated the opposition, so that the Great One could scamper away unhindered...

True, he also received some money from other teams to just let their cars past it seems as he was seldom a challenge to overtake.

I don't think anyone will get close to Redbul on this track unfortunately.
As a RB supporter , I hope you're right. But normally RB have the speed advantage on sectors with long straights and Ferrari do better in the slower tighter sectors, and this track has more of the latter...

But if it rains, anything could happen.
